Hey, my name is Atum and I'm from the San Francisco/Bay Area, California in the USA. I am a visual artist (both drawing/illustrating and sculpting), an athlete, a critical thinker, a dancer, a music producer, a humanitarian and follower of Christ. From the very beginning of my conscious being and self-awareness, I knew expressing myself creatively and freely was a significant aspect of my life. It is indeed my core personal value, my mission and vision to explore, learn, grow and interact with reality around me through creativity in any and all forms.

When I decided to become part of the Deviant Art community years ago I didn't really know what to expect or how to go about my artistic direction and expression. Now that I'm older, wiser, more refined and defined, I can definitely say I'm happiest and most satisfied when I'm doing something creative and artistic each and everyday or as much as possible. I truly feel it's God given and lead that I am this way.

Much of what influenced my way of creation and self-expression was definitely watching cartoons/anime, reading comics/manga, playing with Legos and K-nex, playing video games, etc. It's definitely the inner child in me that always seems to be the driving force in my expressiveness. Now that I'm a full time working adult with life that's stable as it can be as of now, trying to make and manage times for leisure and creative work has and will influence my process of making art.

Whatever the future will bring, I will accept and complete all the challenges both little and small. If I learned anything important in my life thus far, it's that embracing the journey appreciating the little things along the way will bring quality blessings and satisfaction. That's what faith can do.
